Album Update 5/23

Rebecca’s on the East Coast for a week and I thought I’d have a bunch of time to get all the loose ends tied up with the 10+ songs I’ve got here on my hard drive. Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to do as much as I’d hoped.

Tonight, though, was productive and I’ve been able to get a track (’Clipped’ is its temporary title) from a state of uncertain status to something I’m very excited about. This one is midtempo but the feel from the verse to the chorus is quite different. As an experiment, I thought I’d try to incorporate a bunch of different ‘parts’ and now that there’s something ‘together’ I’m quite pleased with the result. Rebecca’s demo vocal is sitting in nice and will give me something to use when putting together the second half of the arrangement.
