The Day’s Work.

Just about exactly a month before we head into the studio and we’re moving at a fast clip now structuring the songs and refining the parts that make them up. Today, starting quite early, we really got ‘mai/lin’ into shape and it’s actually pretty easy to hear what it will end up sounding like. We’ve definitely not done a song like it before.

The Summer is such a great time to make a record. I’m so affected by the weather anyway, but this time of year it’s easy to get excited about things. The air is warm, the swimming and grilling and everything contrasts perfectly with the time in the studio.

Tonight, while grilling and listening back to the day’s work, we had a full glass of the utterly unique and delicious ‘Fourteen‘. Nice!
