Ice…
Wyoming was snow, Iowa is ice.
Fucking ice. Surreal sitting in silence on a highway in a car waiting. For. Anything.
Seriously behind schedule, we’re driving through the night and hoping that we catch some sort of break in the weather that allows us to travel at speeds greater than 30mph. Iowa is neverending. I compare it to being a soldier crawling through a battlefield pas dead bodies. There are so many cars that have slid of the road and the tow trucks can’t move in because there’s not enough traction on the roads. It’s a 21st century kind of morbid.
We spend the night fading into and out of sleep on the highway waiting for the road to open…
